FORT MYERS

Locksmith in Fort Myers, FL

Fort Myers is about thirty miles up the interstate. It is a bigger city than anything in my home patch, and the work there looks different because of it.

Where I go in Fort Myers

I cover McGregor, Gateway, Six Mile Cypress and the River District downtown.

The drive

North on I-75. Plan on longer than a Naples call and I will give you a real number before I set off.

More storefronts, more glass

Collier is mostly houses and gated communities. Fort Myers has a far denser commercial core, which means aluminium and glass storefront doors, mortise hardware, door closers and access control readers rather than residential deadbolts. The River District alone has more storefront doors than most of my Naples area put together.

There is also simply a bigger car population here, which brings more all-keys-lost work.

What Fort Myers calls me for

Commercial hardware and car keys. It is the one place I cover where business work outweighs houses.

Worth being honest about

I am a Naples locksmith who drives to Fort Myers, not a Fort Myers local. I do not have a shop here and I am not around the corner. For a storefront that needs doing properly, or a car with no keys left, the drive is worth it for both of us. For a ten minute lockout, it probably is not.
