Locksmith in Golden Gate City, FL
Golden Gate City is about six miles east of me, and it is worth saying which Golden Gate this page means. The city is the platted grid, not the acreage out in the Estates.
Where I go in Golden Gate City
I cover the grid off Golden Gate Parkway, Santa Barbara Boulevard, Collier Boulevard and Golden Gate City itself.
The drive
Straight out the Parkway. It is one of the closest places I cover, so an arrival time here is the same as an arrival time inside Naples, 30 to 35 minutes on a normal call. If your driveway is a quarter mile long and you are on well water, you are in the Estates instead, and that is a longer run.
Small lots and duplexes, with no HOA standard
The city is platted tight. Lots are small, houses sit close to their neighbours, and plenty of what I pull up to is a duplex rather than a detached house. There is no association here telling anyone what may go on an exterior door, so the locks are whatever the owner bought. Two doors on the same block can carry hardware from completely different eras.
Along the main roads it turns commercial. Small strip retail, and a unit door on a plaza takes more openings in a week than a house door takes in a year. That hardware wears out on its own clock, and it usually gets replaced rather than repaired.
What Golden Gate City calls me for
House lockouts and rekeys. A fair share of those rekeys are duplexes, where an owner is turning over one side and needs that key dead without touching the other half of the building. Shops along the main roads call after a staff change. Almost none of it is the long private gate work I get out in the Estates.
Season
Steady. These are primary residences and people who work here year round, so the calls do not fall away over the summer the way they do at the beach. August looks a lot like February from where I sit.
