Locksmith in Cape Coral, FL
Cape Coral is about twenty six miles north of me and over in Lee County, so I am not the closest locksmith to your door and I would rather say that now than on the phone while you wait.
Where I go in Cape Coral
I cover the canal districts, Pine Island Road, Del Prado Boulevard and Cape Harbour.
The drive
North on I-75 and then west into the city. The distance is the simple part. Cape Coral is enormous and spread out, so where you are inside it matters as much as how far I am driving, and I need the actual address before I can put a time on it.
Canal salt, and locks nowhere near the front door
The Cape is a grid of single family homes with water behind a great many of them. Salt and humidity come up off the canals and work on anything mounted outside, so a key that has started to fight the lock is usually the lock wearing out rather than the key.
The other thing about a waterfront lot is how much of it locks. Detached garages. Pool cages. Sheds at the back, and dock boxes down at the water. A good share of what I get called to here is not the front door at all, so tell me which lock we are talking about and I will load the van for it.
What the Cape calls me for
Residential rekeys and lockouts, plus car keys. New owners who want the old set to stop working, and people standing beside a car with the only fob shut inside it.
When I am worth the drive, and when I am not
If you are locked out and you want somebody there quickly, call a locksmith in the Cape. There are closer options than me for that and pretending otherwise would just leave you standing in the sun longer.
What I do come north for is work that needs the equipment in my van behind it. Every key lost, with nothing left to copy from, so a key has to be cut and programmed from scratch. Or a smart key that only works once the immobiliser data comes from the manufacturer, which takes my NASTF registration and not just a tool. Those are worth the drive for both of us. A ten minute lockout is not.
