SAFES

I open safes in Naples and set you a new combination

A forgotten combination is the call I get most, and a safe that has sat shut for years is almost never the write off people expect. I come to the safe, get it open, and leave you with a combination you can actually keep.

Selling safes is not something I do

No showroom, no stock riding around in the van, nothing to deliver or install for you. If what you want is a safe bought and moved in, that is a different trade and you should call one. I work on the safe you already own. Two jobs, opening it and changing the combination, and that is the honest edge of it.

The combination nobody can remember

Most calls start the same way. The safe has been in a closet since the house was bought, the combination lived on a slip of paper in a drawer, and the drawer got cleared out years ago. Nobody did anything wrong. It just happens.

That is a solvable problem and it does not have to mean cutting the door off. Once it is open I set a fresh combination for you, then stand there while you run it a few times so it is in your head before I drive away.

Dial safes that have drifted

An old dial can fall out of alignment, so the numbers you remember no longer land where the wheels actually sit. The safe feels dead. People start talking about a drill.

Often it has not failed at all. A dial that has drifted can usually be recovered and opened without damaging the safe, which matters when the thing is bolted to a closet floor and nobody is carrying it out to a shop. Worth trying that first, before anybody puts a bit anywhere near it.

The safes I see around Naples

Gun safes, home safes, fire safes, electronic keypad models and old dial models. They fail in different ways. A keypad that has gone quiet is sometimes just a flat battery, which costs you nothing and takes a minute, so check that before you call anyone out.

When the keypad itself has quit, the safe still has to come open and the combination still has to be reset, and that is a call worth making.

What it costs and how soon I am there

The van runs at any hour, every day. A typical Naples address puts me there in 30 to 35 minutes, further out runs longer, and I will tell you which one you are on the phone rather than let you wonder. The service call is $39 to $89 depending on where you are. What the job itself comes to depends on the safe. I take cards and Apple Pay. Cash works too. Call (239) 469-2254.
